Q: I am a first-generation college student who is looking for scholarships to attend college. My family cannot afford to pay for college. Are there scholarships available and how do I find these funding sources?

Walmart has created a “Minority Student Success Award” to help first-generation college students afford the cost of a college education. The Institute for Higher Education Policy awarded Valencia Community College $100,000 for first-generation college students.
