Welcome to the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP). Open to students from various backgrounds, CSTEP provides customized strategies for success in all aspects of your life-with a special emphasis on your career plans for pre-med/pre-law, engineering, education, accounting, and more. Alumni of the program have credited CSTEP with providing opportunities to study abroad, fostering personal and professional contacts, and helping them to complete their degree. Eligibility

Students must be:

be a permanent resident of New York State

have an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 or a graduate/law student cumulative grade point average of a 3.2

be African American, Latino, and/or Native American. White and Asian students who are economically challenged and meet CSTEP-specific financial criteria are also eligible

be currently enrolled in a major that leads to a licensed profession and/or careers in health, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or math/science education

be invited to apply or referred by CSTEP students/alumni or SU staff/faculty
