Description

Cornell University’s Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) is an undergraduate scholars program open to New York State residents from historically underrepresented backgrounds, and sponsored by the New York State Department of Education. The purpose of the program is to strengthen students’ success rates in preparing for professional licensure and careers in medicine, law, business, education, science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and health.

Eligibility

To be eligible for CSTEP, an applicant must:

  • Be a NYS resident
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Be a full-time student (12 credit hours or more).
  • Be interested in a career covered by this program.
  • Be economically disadvantaged or a member of a historically underrepresented group.
