The Post-baccalaureate Premedical Program at the University of Michigan Medical School (Postbac MEDPREP) is a 14-month program designed to make you a competitive applicant for medical school.

Postbac MEDPREP includes science-intensive coursework, health care experiential learning opportunities, training and preparation for the MCAT exam, and comprehensive support throughout the medical school application process—all with the resources of the University of Michigan’s highly ranked Medical School at your disposal.

While science coursework is not a prerequisite for admission to Postbac MEDPREP, there are a few requirements all applicants must meet in order to be considered an eligible candidate for the program:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited US College or University
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Demonstrated interest in medicine through past or current employment and/or volunteer activities

We understand that individual circumstances may warrant interpretation by a Postbac MEDPREP team member—feel free to contact us for a consultation.
