Pre-Med/Pre-Dental PLUS

Seton Hall University
South Orange, NJ.
Type Academic Enrichment, Academic Year Program

The New Jersey Commission on Higher Education created the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program (PMPDPP) to assist in providing opportunities to New Jersey students who have been historically denied access to careers in the health professions. Seton Hall University’s program is designed for highly motivated students who possess the will to succeed but require academic and financial assistance. For more than 20 years, PMPDPP at Seton Hall has helped students gain acceptance into medical, dental and other professional schools. Our goals are to maintain a supportive environment that allows for the promotion of academic success and social development, while assisting in preparing qualified students for the demands of professional or graduate school. Thus, the benefits of the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program range from acclimating students to the University experience to easing their transition into medical school. If you are envisioning a career in medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry or other health professions, but have questions about academic criteria and financial assistance, the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program may be for you. The Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program offers financial assistance to academically proficient students who lack the financial resources to attain a college degree. Students may be eligible for funding from Seton Hall University, the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund, as well as various other State and Federal agencies. All students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for any type of financial aid at Seton Hall University, including scholarsihps. It is imperative that the FAFSA be submitted as soon as possible after January 1st. Online submission is highly recommended.
