The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) Summer Research Program offers undergraduate and medical students an excellent introduction to current radiological sciences research. This is a 10-week program based on approximately 40 hours per week.

The wide variety of ongoing research includes areas such as:

  • Contrast agent development
  • Diagnostic radiology
  • Digital imaging
  • Magnetic resonance imaging
  • Magnetic resonance spectroscopy
  • Molecular pharmacology
  • Neuroscience imaging
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Optical imaging
  • Positron emission tomography
  • Radiopharmaceutical development
  • Ultrasound
  • X-ray computed tomography

Stipend: Applicants selected to the Summer Research Program will receive $5,000 for a 10-week summer research period.
