The Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation is offering loans to residents of Arizona attending AOA accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine. Applicants from southern Arizona will be given special consideration.
- Applicant must be an Arizona resident, defined as any person who maintains a twelve-month place of residence in Arizona, prior to entering a college of osteopathic medicine.
- Residents of the seven southernmost counties of Arizona will receive first consideration. The seven southernmost counties of Arizona are defined for the purpose of this program as the counties of Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz and Yuma.
- Applicant must be enrolled in a college of osteopathic medicine for the 2005-06 academic year. (Applicants may be in any year of the academic predoctoral program.)
- Applicant must be seeking a D.O. degree.
Loan recipients will be forgiven 20% of the loan for every year the loan recipient maintains his/her principal medical practice in one of seven counties in southern Arizona: Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz and Yuma.
