Apply for a $3,000 grant to gain real-world experience with practice-based research, develop skills in basic research methods, and improve your understanding of how of family medicine research can impact patient care.  Design your own study or work with other residents to design a team research project at your residency program.  Recipients have up to 24 months to complete their study.  A final paper and presentation at a future MAFP Research Forum are required.

Before applying, residents must consult with a family physician research mentor.  If you need help finding a mentor please contact Lynn Balfour at the MAFP Foundation.  Applicants and mentors must be members of the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians.
