Academic requirements
This occupation requires a medical degree (MD or DO), completion of a 3-year residency in internal medicine or pediatrics, followed by a 2-year allergy and immunology fellowship. State medical licensure and board certification in allergy and immunology through the American Board of Allergy and Immunology are required.
